The fast moving consumer goods industry is moving at its fastest pace ever at the moment. Consumer goods are in demand and therefore it is very important that the FMCG Industry lives up to the 'fast moving' part of its name.

You can see how fast these types of consumer goods sell. Positioning them on the shelf and ready to drop into someone's shopping basket involves a wide range of people therefore there are lots of different career options within the FMCG Industry.

Areas such as marketing, sales and HR all fit into the FMCG industry and there are many many other areas to choose to work in. The fast moving consumer goods industry has lots of big named brands that make up the industry.

Some of the most well-known popular brands are present in the FMCG Industry. The industry itself is worth millions of pounds and includes lots of 'household' products which is where the 'fast moving' part comes from. Often the 'fast moving' products include things such as groceries, toiletries and fresh fruit and vegetables.

There are many different graduate roles available within the fast moving consumer goods industry. Often there are specific graduate roles created in areas such as marketing, sales, management and human resources. Graduates who are working within the FMCG industry usually do so through entering graduate training schemes with big name brands. The industry is very competitive for graduates and on average there are 120 applications for every position advertised.
