They may even be encouraged to follow their footsteps someday.

The school could hold poster contests for the students with themes that tackle these things. Kids love arts and crafts so much and this is a good way to start raising awareness about finding safety during difficult situations. They can also display these artworks in the school corridors so that more students would learn about them. The awareness would increase and the kids would be excited about it.

A lot of people would want to stay with books and stories which are also rather helpful in promoting awareness. There are stories that kids could easily remember because of the flow of ideas. This is a great way to teach kids about safety without pressuring them too much.

It is also good if adults would be cautious about the exit. Teaching children where this is would not be enough. There should be indicators such as a clear sign that they will be able to read. It is also good to teach them how to open it if there are panic bars and other locks used to keep it shut.

The teachers are also encouraged to let kids go with role plays or games that will also instill these things. It would help them raise the awareness of other people by showing it to them. They can also share their knowledge wherever they are. The games and the roles that they will be playing would linger in their thoughts and they could share it with other kids too.

The drills are also very helpful in keeping kids on their best shape. They will not really take things too seriously but if they have authoritative figures, they will learn about things more. With this, they will not forget the lessons that will be relayed to them.

Children must be oriented of the alarm and smoke detectors as well as their functions. If they are not aware, they may just ignore these alarms and think that they are safe. If they would know why these things ring however, they would be able to prepare. It should be made clear though that kids should not play with the tools so that they will not endanger other people.
