If you are looking for a business venture to get yourself involved in or to invest in, a parking lot sealcoating company may not be too bad of a choice. You can surely make a profit running this type of operation and it is not too difficult to master if you are the operations manager. You will just need a good crew.

You cannot pass on something like this because if you do the lot will start to fall apart and everybody will notice. You do not want customers to avoid your location because your lot is all cracked up with weeds growing through the cracks every 5 feet. At best this is a yearly job and if you do it routinely it will not cost you an arm and a leg.

As the lot starts to crack from wear it gets worse daily with more and more cars driving over the cracks. Then it rains and the water sits in the bottom of the cracks and softens the materials that make up the asphalt. When the weather gets colder the water that is there will start to freeze and when it does it will expand.

When the weather gets colder the water turns to ice and the problem there is that ice expands. As it expands it will make the crack larger or make a new one all together. This just makes matters worse and will end up costing you even more money that you do not have. You must get a yearly contract with a company to have this done.

The entire process does not take that long and a good crew can go from showing up on the site to packing up and heading to the next job in a couple hours. This means that they can do a few of them in a day and these are not cheap services. In addition, they must be done close to every year if the lot has any chance of surviving for a decent amount of time.

While this does protect it, you must continue to have this done about once a year. Some lots can go a bit longer depending on the area of the country they are in or if they just, for some reason, do not take that much of a beating throughout the year. Even so, you will still need to have this done on a routine basis.

If you can get into some of the open areas or get a new contract or two you will have a start. You will have to be prepared to travel however. There are only so many lots in any one area. So if you want your crews to be working consistently they will have to travel to wherever the work is.

This is especially dangerous if you do live in an area with snow. When the snow plows come around and run into a crack, that little crack becomes a huge hole. Getting parking lot sealcoating done is too important to pass up. It will keep you from spending large amounts of money and protect your investment. It will also keep the outside of your business looking beautiful.
